Cinelli, inventors of the world’s first modern bar tape Original Cork Ribbon in 1984, is proud to announce the launch of an all new tape, The Wave. The new tape represents an evolution of the brand’s historic approach to EVA-based handlebar tapes, as well as a return to local Italian manufacturing. The base is the signature EVA tape, to which a new, proprietary brushing technique has been applied. This technique, developed in collaboration with local manufacturing partners, is inspired by the treatments applied to windsurfing booms for competition use and allows Cinelli to improve the grip and feel of the band without compromising the product’s durability affect.
