Syntace rims are known for their build quality, durability, stiffness and tubeless ability. The Syntace 28 “W25i is a robust gravel rim made of aluminum with an inner width of 25 mm.

In the past, narrow rims and heavy tires were the norm. Today, however, wide rims can be combined with new, light types of tires. But really wide, high-quality rims were inevitably still a bit heavier than their narrow brothers, otherwise the durability suffered. Syntace was the first to break this vicious circle in 2011. The original Syntace rim W33 was the first such wide and light aluminum rim on the market. After more than 5 years of experience, it has been improved with an even better aluminum alloy and a profile that has been further developed in many test bench runs, and made another 50 g lighter.
The enlarged nipple seat diameter (spoke hole 5.1 mm) enables the nipple to be embedded at the correct angle and prevents the spokes from kinking when the number of spokes is small and the spoke length is short. The spherical contact area of the ABS lock nipple on the spoke hole guarantees perfect alignment with the spoke and a force-based structure is achieved on highly stressed wheels.

Stronger than the spoke
Much more crack-resistant spoke anchoring in the rim base thanks to the SmoothFit profile. Perfectly angular embedding of the nipples in the rim well. More durable than previous rim bases or mere washers, which add weight to the rim but do not reinforce the edge of the spoke hole.

This rim has 5.1 mm spoke holes and requires the ABS Lock FG2.3 spoke nipple developed by Syntace to build a wheel!
